OECD-Asia Roundtable on Corporate Governance

Celebrating its 25th anniversary, this year’s OECD-Asia Roundtable will be held from 11 to 12 December in Manila and will discuss recent corporate governance developments in the Philippines and Asia more broadly.

The agenda will include the launch of the report OECD Capital Market Review of the Philippines, and discussions on, among other topics, sustainability in the corporate sector, institutional investor engagement, remote participation in general shareholder meetings, equity markets for growth companies, and board committees.

Max  Purcell, Director at Sodali & Co, will share his perspectives on the evolving policy frameworks and good practices for general shareholder meetings, at session 4: ‘ Policies and practices for remote participation in general shareholder meetings’. This session will discuss the main findings of the forthcoming OECD peer review report on policy frameworks and good practices for general shareholder meetings and explore current practices and possible lessons for Asian jurisdictions.
