Sodali & Co, a leading global stakeholder engagement consultancy, announces three strategic appointments which will enhance its unique investor-driven advisory and communications platform.
Rory Godson has been appointed as Chair of the firm’s global Strategic Communications practice. Rory is the founder of Powerscourt, the London and Dublin-based strategic communications firm acquired by Sodali & Co in 2023. He will be responsible for overseeing the growth strategy of the communications business across APAC, EMEA, and the US and will continue to work closely with the firm’s clients.
Rory will be focused, alongside the broader global leadership group, on helping integrate Sodali & Co’s three practice areas to the benefit of clients: Strategic Communications, Shareholder Advisory, and Sustainability Consulting.
Victoria Palmer-Moore, Senior Managing Director, will continue her leadership of the Strategic Communications team in her role as UK and Ireland Market Lead.
Anthony Kluk joins later this month as a Managing Director based in the London office. He will head the Shareholder Advisory practice in UK and Ireland, working closely with the firm’s top-ranked teams in the US and APAC.
Anthony was previously the UK and Scandinavia head of Georgeson, the proxy solicitation firm. He is an expert in helping listed companies understand the motivations and voting intentions of institutional investors whilst ensuring management and boards engage with and win shareholder support in AGMs, M&A situations, or defending against activist demands.
Anthony will be joined by Keyvan Amirghassemi who has been appointed as a Manager in the London office. Keyvan is an experienced adviser to clients on shareholder strategy across contested M&A, proxy fights, and activism defence, primarily in the UK and Nordic markets and also joins Sodali & Co from Georgeson. Keyvan was previously in the finance team at Huawei, the multinational technology business.
Andrew Benett, CEO of Sodali & Co, said: “These three critical appointments will accelerate our strategy to build a highly differentiated global consultancy business with integrated practice areas covering communications, shareholder advisory, and sustainability. This model is unique amongst our peers and allows us to provide a highly valuable service to clients across the globe.”
“Rory brings vast experience, energy and a relentless focus on client outcomes to this new role and will help ensure we harness the best of our international offices to deliver a seamless service - regardless of geography.”
“Anthony and Keyvan will help build our shareholder advisory practice in the UK, leveraging our number one market position globally. In an increasingly complex operating environment for corporate clients, particularly with the UK being the top European target for activist investors, they will enhance our ability to deliver crucial investor insight and engagement strategies in a way our competitors cannot.”
