Lighthouse Brazil Edition - THE 2020 AGM SEASON

Morrow Sodali is proud to release the first Brazil edition of Lighthouse, complementing our other publications from the US, Australia and EMEA, where we take a closer look at the 2020 Brazilian proxy season and what to expect in 2021, given the impact of the Covid-19 crisis with the full year AGMs’ results.

The review highlights common themes on corporate governance (Quorum, Remuneration and Board matters) emerging from shareholder meetings, and analyses both corporates´ and investors´ perspectives on ongoing ESG trends, such as climate change and Board accountability, as well as transitioning to a low carbon economy spotlight on the energy sector.

In this first edition, Sandra Guerra, Managing Partner at Better Governance Morrow Sodali´s local partner, explores the role and responsibilities of the Board members in the content of the AGM dynamics and preparations.
