Tokyo, Japan - April 25, 2024: The British Chamber of Commerce in Japan (BCCJ) announced the results of its highly anticipated 2024-2025 Executive Committee (Excom) Election during its Annual General Meeting held on April 25 at Charmant Scena Tokyo in Omotesando.
The event began with an address by His Majesty’s Ambassador to Japan, Julia Longbottom CMG, emphasising the enduring success of the UK-Japan relationship and upcoming milestones like the Osaka Expo 2025. BCCJ Executive Director Sarah Backley expressed gratitude for member support, highlighting achievements such as the Mentorship Programme launch. President Richard Lyle reflected on positive growth, citing increased events, member registrations, and preparations for Expo 2025 involvement.
The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the newly elected Executive Committee members. Among them is Heather Prosser, Managing Director, Head of Sustainability of Morrow Sodali Japan, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the BCCJ Excom.
