Managing Director
Peter da Silva Vint joins Sodali as a Managing Director focused on shareholder activism, corporate governance and strategic shareholder engagement. He joins Sodali from Jasper Street Partners, where he served as Managing Partner advising public companies and boards on activism preparedness and defense, shareholder engagement and corporate governance.
Peter has more than 15 years of experience across investment banking, investment stewardship and law. Prior to Jasper Street, he spent several years in investment banking, advising companies on a range of strategic matters including shareholder advisory and activism defense. Earlier, Peter was a member of BlackRock Investment Stewardship, where he evaluated corporate governance and significant shareholder matters from the perspective of one of the world’s largest institutional investors. He began his career as a corporate lawyer.
Peter’s experience across these disciplines gives him a distinctive perspective on how companies and boards can anticipate and respond to event driven situations such as shareholder activism, navigate contested situations and engage effectively with institutional investors.
Peter’s perspectives on shareholder activism, corporate governance and shareholder engagement have been featured in major business and financial publications, including Reuters and The Economist. He has spoken on these topics at Stanford Directors’ College, Harvard Business School and New York University.
Peter received his MBA from the Yale School of Management, his JD from the University of Michigan Law School and his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech.
