TIm Ragones is a Managing Director at Sodali & Co. Prior to joining Sodali in October 2026, Tim was a Managing Director at Joele Frank and for 10 years advised U.S. public companies as well as private equity firms and their portfolio companies on high-stakes communications, transactions, shareholder activism, crises and other business-critical situations.

Tim has more than 20 years of communications experience, including nearly a decade as a broadcast journalist, which he leverages to coach CEOs and senior executives for media, investor, employee and other high-profile engagements. He has spoken on crisis communications at programs hosted by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and law schools. Earlier in his career, Tim worked at Prosek and in firmwide PR and communications at Kirkland & Ellis LLP.

Tim has an MS in finance from the University of Rochester’s Simon Business School, an MA in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a BA cum laude in history from Princeton University.
