The purpose of this survey is to elicit the views of institutional investors about the proposed amendments, currently being enacted by the Capital Market Board and the Central Security Depositary, to the Turkish Commercial Code of corporate governance.

The response of institutional investors to this survey will assist the two Turkish entities mentioned in determining how best to deal with governance concerns -- whether to adopt new policies, increase boardroom transparency, or provide better explanations of how hybrid Turkish governance practices serve investor interests.

The survey should also increase understanding of certain fundamental governance issues that are relevant to all companies globally, not just Turkish companies.
