In 2021 Bank of America advised on 35 campaigns, up from 28 reported for the previous year. Goldman Sachs, which ranked as the top financial adviser in 2020 and in 2019, slipped to the third spot with 33 campaigns. Morgan Stanley moved into the second spot with 34 campaigns, up from 29 in 2020.
Elliott Management held on to its spot as the busiest activist, launching 14 campaigns last year after 16 in 2020. Olshan Frome Wolosky was the busiest law firm, working on 85 engagements for activists.
