Godson

Rory is a Senior Managing Director leading EMEA Strategic Communications at Sodali & Co. He was previously Powerscourt’s founder and CEO. He had a successful career as a journalist in Ireland and the UK, holding several senior roles in both countries, including Business Editor at The Sunday Times. He spent a period as director of corporate affairs at Goldman Sachs International before establishing Powerscourt in 2004. 

He oversees the business's culture and strategy, working closely with the senior leadership team every day. He also remains deeply engaged with clients, especially at moments of challenge and change. 

Since 2018, Rory has been the Chairman of the Ireland Funds of Great Britain, the local chapter of a global Irish philanthropic network supporting Irish causes internationally. During his time in the Chair, the Board has achieved gender balance and substantially expanded. He will retire from that role shortly. He studied journalism at the Dublin Institute of Technology.
