New York, NY — Sodali & Co, a leading global stakeholder advisory firm, today announced the appointment of Emily Wei and Hasib Nasirullah as Co-Leads of the firm's Global Sustainability Practice, effective August 18, 2025.
The leadership transition follows Harry Etra's planned departure, for family reasons. Sodali & Co thanks Harry for his leadership and contributions to expanding the firm's global sustainability platform.
Emily and Hasib bring decades of combined experience advising multinational companies on sustainability strategy, investor engagement, and regulatory compliance. Their appointment underscores Sodali & Co's continued commitment to helping clients align sustainability goals with long-term business performance.
"Sustainability today is not just a lens to assess risk—it's a strategic growth imperative," said Emily Wei. "I'm honored to co-lead this practice and partner with clients navigating regulatory transformation, climate disclosure, and stakeholder expectations."
"We're entering a new era of transparency, accountability, and comparability in sustainability," added Hasib Nasirullah. "Our mission is to help clients use data to build credible, resilient strategies that create long-term value, and we're excited to drive that forward together."
The team will continue to support global clients with regulatory readiness on California’s SB-253 and SB-261, the EU’s CSRD and SFDR, and the adoption of IFRS S1 and S2 reporting standards in other parts of the world, including materiality assessments, GHG inventories, climate scenario analysis, and sustainability annual reporting, as well as voluntary ratings assessments such as GRESB, CDP, and EcoVadis that remain key market drivers for investors and other stakeholders.
"Emily and Hasib are trusted advisors with a proven track record of driving positive impact for our clients," said Andrew Benett, CEO of Sodali & Co. "Their collaborative leadership and deep expertise make them the right choice to lead our Sustainability Practice into its next phase of growth."
