Lachlan leads Morrow Sodali’s Crisis Communications & Special Situations practice in Australia, advising clients across issues, crisis and reputation strategy. He has worked in corporate affairs and media for 30 years, in Australia as well as internationally. His breadth of experience include external (media, investor) and internal communications, digital communications, sustainability and community engagement.

Prior to Morrow Sodali, he led Communications at the Qantas Group (2022), and Communications & Sustainability at AMP Limited in (2017-22), in Australia. He has served as Head of Communications at leading UK oil and gas business, BG Group, including during its US$60 billion on-market takeover by Royal Dutch Shell in 2016. He also led brand & communications at UK-based telecoms group, Cable & Wireless Plc. 

He began his career as a journalist, with roles at the Australian Financial Review, Sydney Morning Herald and Daily Telegraph in Sydney, as well as the Daily Telegraph in London, UK. 

Lachlan completed the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 2016.
