Beyond Reporting: Sodali & Co’s FY2026 Sustainability Report
Sustainability is changing the way organizations think about risk, governance, stakeholder relationships and long-term value.
For Sodali & Co, it is also changing the way we think about our own business.
We are proud to publish our first Sustainability Report, marking an important milestone in our sustainability journey and providing a transparent view of where we are today and where we are heading next.
As a global stakeholder intelligence and advisory firm with 400+ people serving clients across 70 countries, our perspective on sustainability is shaped not only by our own experience, but by the complex issues we help organizations navigate every day.
Why sustainability matters
Sustainability is no longer simply a reporting or compliance issue.
For boards, executives and investors, it increasingly intersects with business performance, reputation, risk management, talent, governance and investor confidence.
At Sodali & Co, we believe sustainability can help organizations build trust, strengthen resilience and create long-term value. Our approach brings together expertise across Shareholder Advisory, Strategic Communications and Sustainability, reflecting the reality that sustainability issues rarely exist in isolation.
Our first Sustainability Report explores this connection through the lens of our own business.
From ambition to action
The report represents the work undertaken over the past two years to establish our sustainability program.
For the first time, we have established sustainability goals and completed our inaugural greenhouse gas emissions inventory, creating a baseline from which we can measure progress and strengthen our environmental performance over time.
Our GHG inventory covers Scopes 1, 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions and follows the GHG Protocol, providing a structured foundation for future improvements in emissions data and reporting.
But environmental performance is only one part of the picture.
Our sustainability strategy is built around four priority areas:
- Employee Engagement
- Greenhouse Gas Emissions
- Data Security
- Business Ethics
These priorities were identified through research, stakeholder engagement, industry trends, regulatory developments and consultation with internal subject matter experts and senior leaders.
Building accountability into our business
A key milestone this year was establishing our first Board-approved sustainability goals, with near-term targets set for FY27 and longer-term ambitions being developed for 2030.
The goals span environmental performance, employee development and wellbeing, responsible AI, data security and business ethics.
This matters because meaningful sustainability progress requires more than ambition. It requires clear priorities, accountability and measurable action.
Preparing for the next generation of business challenges
The report also explores how emerging issues are influencing the way we operate.
Artificial intelligence, for example, is rapidly changing how organizations work. At Sodali & Co, responsible AI is becoming an important part of our governance approach, supported by an AI policy and a dedicated AI Task Force. In June 2026, we also launched an eight-session AI Academy to help employees use AI safely and effectively.
Our approach to sustainability also extends to our people. In FY2026, 72% of employees participated in our annual engagement survey, helping identify global focus areas around career development, ways of working, and people leadership.
These examples demonstrate that sustainability at Sodali & Co is not limited to environmental performance. It encompasses the way we govern, develop our people, use technology, protect information and build trust with our stakeholders.
Sustainability in practice
The report also looks beyond our own operations to the work we do with clients.
Sustainability considerations increasingly influence shareholder expectations, corporate governance and investor engagement. Our multidisciplinary model allows us to connect sustainability expertise with shareholder intelligence and strategic communications, helping clients understand stakeholder expectations and translate them into effective strategies and action.
The report includes real examples of this work, demonstrating how sustainability considerations can influence shareholder engagement and long-term corporate strategy.
A foundation for what's next
Our Sustainability Report is not intended to suggest that the journey is complete.
It establishes a baseline.
It sets out our priorities.
And it creates a foundation for greater transparency, stronger measurement and continued progress.
As stakeholder expectations continue to evolve, we believe organizations that connect sustainability with strategy, governance and investor confidence will be better positioned to create long-term value.
