"At the end of the day, like any situation... you talk about deals, takeover bids, mergers, transactions... it's a risk of deal completion and for the sake of actively engage with your investors why would you risk delays or other potential issues for not actively reaching out communicating with shareholders? It's become a paramount initiative that is launched in most of M&A transactions and other transactions, even for annual meetings, to ensure that the management team and the board truly understand what shareholders are thinking at any point in time. It also enables to address issues as they emerge and to be able to manage their risks and hit towards deal's completion," commented Maria Leftakis, Morrow Sodali's CEO Australia, on Sky News on Friday, when speaking about shareholder communication and engagement.
