Sodali & Co Strengthens U.S. Corporate Governance Advisory with Appointment of Matthew Vahidi as Managing Director

With over a decade of legal, governance, and stewardship experience, Matt has advised Russell 3000 companies, including leading financial services institutions on corporate governance, shareholder engagement, and strategic narrative development. He has helped boards and management teams navigate the complex expectations of institutional investors, proxy advisors, legislators, and regulators—addressing evolving risks and opportunities across corporate governance, executive compensation, capital strategy, shareholder activism, and material sustainability concerns. 

Previously, Matt served as Director and Lead Analyst for North American Financial Services at BlackRock Investment Stewardship, where he engaged directly with directors and C-suite executives at major banks, insurers, REITs, and other financial services institutions. His leadership helped to inform BlackRock’s voting and engagement priorities on strategy, performance, governance and sustainability—covering institutions representing hundreds of billions in market capitalization.
